James Watlington is the President & Founder of Alexanders.
James is a senior member of the Bermuda Bar, having been called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1975 and Bermuda in 1976. He is a Notary Public and a charter member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Prior to founding Alexanders, James was Legal Advisor and Head of the Corporate and Legal Services Department of the Bermuda office of Deloitte & Touche. Most of his career has been in the financial services sector in Bermuda and in Asia, where he founded and headed the Hong Kong office of The Bank of N. T. Butterfield & Son Ltd.
James has extensive experience in corporate and trust law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and shipping matters. He serves as a board member for several entities including listed companies.
